This is the card I received from the Zappos team when I attended a recent Austin Marketing Association event featuring Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh.
Not surprisingly, Zappos is using social media marketing methods perfectly in this instance. The card doesn’t passively include the Twitter and Facebook icons. Instead, they tell you exactly where to go to find them. Great combination of traditional marketing (the postcard) and new media.

I found it interesting that the Facebook and Twitter icons are now adequate to know what to do (e.g.”follow us”).
Also, I love the fact that more tradional forms of media now seem to understand the importance of having a social media presence.

This was a TV ad I saw tonight. When I asked my wife what she thought it took her 25 seconds to see the Facebook icon. What do you think of their social media marketing?
